Renowned Biology Professor Marianne Shelley has taught at Central Washington University for over fifteen years, and though her classes are never quite full, her reputation for providing her students with a solid foundation before advancing their careers in the Biology field proceeds her. She had a clean track record here at CWU until an incident occurred last week in her Section 002 Beginning Anatomy class that left her students stupefied.
As usual, she was using a cadaver as an educational tool for her class. According to sources, she paced around the cadaver in her lab gear as she typically does, reading aloud the assigned reading from the textbook. However, in the reading, one of the passages was in Latin, recalling an ancient surgical technique that Romans used to heal internal bleeding. When she began reading the passage, students noticed the cadaver twitching lightly. As she continued, the cadaver began to vibrate faster and faster until it was “floating a few inches in the air.” Wind began to pick up in the classroom, causing papers to swirl around the room as the overhead fluorescents flickered. Professor Shelley didn’t notice what was happening until she heard students talking to their followers as they livestreamed the incident on TikTok.
Shelley is currently on leave after last week’s “ritual,” but students are now clamoring to join her classes for the Fall Quarter. Her entire class schedule is completely waitlisted, so whether you’re majoring in Biology or Witchcraft, you might not have much luck in getting your credits in time next year.
