Second long-term care facility confirms positive cases

On July 8, Kittitas County received positive test results from two staff members of the Kittitas Valley branch of Prestige Post-Acute and Rehab were confirmed to have COVID-19.

The Incident Management Team’s (IMT) response to Prestige will be the same as the response to the recent response to Meadows Place Assisted Living Facility. Kittitas County is working closely with Prestige to ensure all employees and residents of the facility are tested. All family members and residents have been notified by Prestige that the two staff members had tested positive.

Because they house high-risk residents, long-term care facilities in the county have been in contact with the Kittitas County IMT since the beginning of the pandemic. Long-term care facilities have already prepared to respond by means of mass notification, patient quarantine/isolation, mass testing and considerations for long-term care facilities’ staffing and supplies levels.

As of July 11, Kittitas County has 28 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19, with 316 tests pending results. Of the county’s total 167 confirmed cases, 132 are considered recovered. The county reports zero deaths related to COVID-19. All data is pulled from the Kittitas County Community Impact Dashboard.
