The Wildcats proved they didn’t need home court advantage when they defeated SFU 92-65 in the subsequent away game on Thursday, Jan. 27.

In the first 10 minutes of the game, CWU’s defense allowed six total points, which allowed them to build a lead that they held throughout the game.

Thompson shot 9-11 from the field and a perfect 3-3 from behind the three-point arc for a team-high of 22 points. Second in scoring for the Wildcats was Poquette with 15 points. Poquette also led the Wildcats in rebounds with six.

As a team, CWU shot efficiently with 60.7% (37-61) from the field and 52.9% (9-17) from three-point range.
