Sarah Hoot
Sarah Hoot is the Editor in Chief of the CWU Observer, a position that she acquired through four years of working at the paper. Hoot started out at the Observer in copy desk in her freshman year. She then became a scene reporter her sophomore year and then the Scene Editor her junior year.

At first, Hoot wanted to work for a magazine, but after enjoying working for copy desk her freshman year, she decided that she wanted to come back to the Observer. As a freshman, Hoot knew she had some idea of what where she was heading.

Hoot is a Washington state native, and was raised in the town of Marysville. There she attended Marysville Arts and Technology High School.

If not a journalist, Hoot would like to own a plant shop. She enjoys gardening, and so she figured that it would be a perfect fit for her. Although Hoot does not currently have a yard and therefore she doesn’t have a garden, but she does have many potted plants, including a potted raspberry bush. Other than gardening, Hoot does enjoy knitting, playing video games, and cooking.
