What is CWU PUSH? The President’s United to Solve Hunger is a national effort to help fight hunger on college campuses. Former CWU President James Guardino signed onto the commitment in 2015. For six years, CWU PUSH has been working to solve the need and support Central Washington students.
With the current pandemic, the university has had to layoff faculty due to budget cuts. There are also faculty that have their hours cut, partners laid off, and children to feed. The pandemic has also affected student employment, as CWU campuses are closed and in limited operation.
CWU PUSH is trying to increase its funding to help students in need and now faculty in need. Thus, for my senior project, I started the Wildcats Helping Wildcats fundraiser.
All money collected till February 28th, 11:59 pm, will be donated to CWU PUSH to help get much-needed food and supplies and support to CWU Wildcats in need during this pandemic.
