Malia Ili, Lilly Thomas, Kerena Tinoisamoa and Jessica Postle led CWU to a 107-0 shutout against Boise State University on Oct. 29 on home turf.

Ili put up four tries, Thomas followed with three and Tinoisamoa and Postle put up two each.

This was CWU’s pink night in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, making the win not only impactful on the team but also the community.

The win followed a recent loss against Lindenwood University (LU) on Oct. 22, also at Tomlinson Stadium. The game was only the team’s second loss of the season.

The first loss being their season opener, where they fell to Victoria 12-27. CWU swept wins from Pennsylvania State University, United Naval Academy and Brigham Young University prior to their loss.

The Wildcats finished their regular season on Nov. 5 with a loss against Life University, finalizing their regular season record of 4-3.

Nov. 19 will be CWU’s next appearance on the turf, with the NCAA DI Elite Semifinals. A location and time is still to be decided for this game.

If the team excels during the semi-finals, they will head to Charlotte, N.C. for the DI Elite Championships.
