Salutations CWU,

We hope all you new students are staying afloat, enjoying life on or around campus and settling into the ebb and flow of existence as we know it. This week, we covered events ranging from the 5k marathon (see pg. 5) to Burgstock (see pg. 4) to local art and museum shows (see pg. 6/7), to Hurricane Fiona’s effect on Puerto Rico (pg. 11).

As we traverse the pages of this week’s issue together, we hope you’ll keep a few things on your heart and mind. Consider what Ellensburg or CWU culture you are involved with, what identities you claim in your life, and how these two things tie together. Are you able to be the fullest version of yourself? If not, how can you go about activating what you believe to be your truest self? How can you become the person you hope to be?

Take care and drink more water,

Katherine Camarata
