CWU Pride Drag Show

Drag queens take the stage by storm and perform for a large audience

Drag+queens+hosted+and+performed+at+the+show+in+the+SURC+ballroom+last+night.+The+event+was+part+of+a+week+long+celebration+for+Pride.+Earlier+in+the+week%2C+a+rainbow+flag+was+flown+above+Barge+Hall+and+small+rainbow+flags+could+be+seen+all+around+campus.+On+June+4%2C+there+was+the+first+Pride+Parade+in+Ellensburg.+

Drag queens hosted and performed at the show in the SURC ballroom last night. The event was part of a week long celebration for Pride. Earlier in the week, a rainbow flag was flown above Barge Hall and small rainbow flags could be seen all around campus. On June 4, there was the first Pride Parade in Ellensburg.

  • Professional drag queens visited CWU last night and lip synced to popular songs.

  • CWU amateur drag queen took to the stage last night and performed with the professional drag queens. She won a contest earlier in the day, which allowed her to participate in the drag show last night.

  • Additionally, a drag king, Corbin Thicke performed at the drag show last night.

  • Audience members tipped the drag queens during their performances

  • A crowd favorite was drag king, Corbin Thicke. He did performances to “Can’t Feel My Face” by The Weeknd and “Cake by the Ocean” by DNCE

  • Lulu Luscious was another crowd favorite and is originally from the Pacific Northwest
