Central’s recently dissolved Academic Program Task Force (APTF) eliminated five programs earlier this week in its final phase, allowing four others to continue for the time being in an effort to reduce costs.

“In each of these programs, low—or even, no—enrollment was a factor in their elimination,” said Lori Braunstein, chair of the APTF III, in Central’s press release.

Regardless of low enrollment numbers, the four programs that are being provisionally continued showed “a concrete plan of action” which contributed to their continuation, according to the press release.

Students who are currently enrolled in these programs will be able to finish their degree, said Braunstein.
